Kailua Thompson—also known as 9rophet—is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and recording artist born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. A formative visit to Tokyo, Japan left a lasting impression on his creative vision, inspiring a lifelong love for culture, symbolism, and storytelling. He later served in the U.S. Air Force, an experience that deepened his sense of discipline, service, and identity.

Kailua draws inspiration from a wide range of artists and refuses to place limits on his creativity—blending fashion, sound, and visual art into a unified voice rooted in individuality and confidence in self.

He is the founder of Kuusouka, a brand and movement meaning “daydreamer” or “visionary” in Japanese. First imagined in 2014 and officially established in 2020, Kuusouka embodies limitless imagination, self-determination, and the freedom to express without boundaries. Samurai imagery often appears in his work as a symbol of honor, service, self-belief, and the warrior mindset that defines his approach to life and art.
